LODISNA, a leading Spanish logistics operator specialising in national and international full truckload road transport, integrated logistics and distribution, yesterday received three Lean & Green stars, the European initiative driving the reduction of CO₂ emissions across the supply chain, just a few months after joining the programme in March this year.
The award, presented yesterday by the manufacturers and distributors association (AECOC) at an event held as part of the 9th Sustainable Logistics Conference in Madrid, comes after the successful completion of the verification process carried out by EQA and certifies that the company has achieved its target of reducing greenhouse gases from its logistics processes by at least 35% through the effective implementation of the reduction measures set out in the company's action plan.
Lean & Green is an international programme designed to help companies reduce their carbon footprint by implementing innovative measures and optimising their logistics processes. On joining this initiative, LODISNA committed to continuing to reduce its CO₂ emissions through actions such as improving fuel efficiency, optimising routes and using more sustainable technologies.
