The project was shortlisted for the “Beautiful Houses 2023” competition. The client approached us with a clear vision — to design a house featuring a cantilevered second floor that would extend outward, forming a sheltered area for the entrance and parking.
Design Plans
Brutal Warmth
We focused on refining proportions and, together with structural engineers, carefully calculated the cantilever span. The layout was designed with everyday living scenarios in mind. A practical entrance vestibule connects directly to a workshop and the stair hall. The heart of the ground floor is a spacious kitchen - living area with access to a veranda. Panoramic glazing opens the interior to the surrounding landscape and fills the space with natural light, while frameless systems blur the boundary between inside and outside.
An expressive and highly functional home defined by clear geometry and bold architectural expression. The project achieves a balance between raw, brutal aesthetics and the warmth of natural materials, combining dynamic facades with a thoughtfully organized interior layout.
